ANTA’s beginnings are rooted in the inevitable lineup changes and confused musings of several different bands – some still breathing, some now merely anecdotal, some teenaged. Nobody really remembers precisely what happened, or when. The four members of ANTA find themselves in rooms, with lots of large amplifiers and ancient oversized instruments; they seem comfortable with those circumstances, and consider it pertinent to call forth a number of overly heavy prog-style riffs. They like Magma and King Crimson and Sleep. At least two of them think that jazz is pretty good. Pete can play More Than A Feeling without having to be asked.
They can currently be listened to at their Myspace page. CD and mp3 releases are of course on their way.
Members of ANTA are known for their association with the following acts: Rose Kemp, Boxcar Aldous Huxley and Geisha.
